Why is Toronto Community Housing Selling these properties?

TCHC has a $750 Million dollar capital repair obligation. In conducting this sale TCHC is able to raise the required funds meet to repair obligations. Approvals have been obtained to sell 103 stand-alone properties. An additional 55 properties will be brought to market bringing the total number of stand-alone properties approved for sale to 158.
Any properties for sale are publicly listed on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS®)

WHAT WILL TCHC DO WITH MONIES EARNED FROM THE SALES?

Net proceeds from the sale of these properties will be allocated to the State of Good Repair Fund, which is used strictly for capital repairs. Toronto Community Housing Corporation will publish information on all process and expenditures from the State of Good Repairs Funds.

HOW WILL THE STAND-ALONE UNITS BE SOLD?

Stand-alone units on the open market to the highest bidder in order to maximize the revenues raised for the State of Good Repair Fund.

Properties will be listed on the Toronto MLS® System. Registering with me will ensure you get notified of new properties as they become available. All properties will have an offer registration date and an offer submission time deadline.  Toronto Community Housing will accept the best offer.
